Shiva and Vidhyadhara

next to a window on the

upper floor of the Ratnesvara 

temple on the Sulima Square in 

Patan, 13th century. In the upper 

part appears the head of Shiva 

with the ascetic's hairstyle, 

framed by lotus tendrils. In the 

lower part appears the 

upper body of a wisdom

bearer amidst lotus leaves, 

with a garland in his hands.
