Here we show an extraordinary work from the family workshop "Siddiraj", which is currently considered the most talented craftsmen in traditional statue making in Nepal.

The tradition of statue making in the "lost form", the representation of deities from Tibetan Buddhism, dates back to 1100 years.

A deep and very finely crafted engraving flatters the eyes of the beholder. The figure is fire-gilded several times and the face is painted with a mixture of clear glass and pure gold.  Fine gemstones have been precisely set to emphasize the perfection.

It is not easy to produce such an extraordinary statue in top quality. It takes time and skill. And finding them on the market and importing them to Germany is also associated with work and good karma.
