Tibetan conch shell horn “Dung Dkar” 02

Here I am offering an exceptionally beautiful and high-quality conch shell horn from Nepal.

I purchased it about ten years ago in a long-established, traditional specialty store there.

This is not a simple souvenir or typical tourist item, but a carefully crafted ritual instrument that has been used in Nepal and Tibet for centuries. The workmanship, material, and artistic details speak for themselves and clearly show that this piece comes from a reputable workshop.

The conch shell horn is large, heavy, and impresses with its excellent, clear sound. Despite its size, it is surprisingly easy to blow and is therefore suitable for ritual purposes as well as for collectors and sound enthusiasts.

It is artistically decorated, framed in fine metalwork and genuine gemstones – traditionally carnelian and green jade – underline the high-quality character of this piece and give it an authentic Nepalese aura.

It measures 22.5 cm in length, 12 cm in width, and approximately 11 cm in depth, and weighs 1420 grams, making it one of the more impressive examples of its kind.
